really started warming up. The past 3 weeks have been full of sunshine,
fire pits, friends and fun. We have also planted gardens, taken
part in a fundraiser for a charity that my husband and I are on the board
for, and so much yard work I don't think my sun burn will ever go
away! All in all it has been such a great time, but the thing that
I am happiest about, is the kids playing on the Slip & Slide.
The Dr.'s always say to avoid the cold and unheated water is a big no-no. So instantly they have just taken the joy of running through the sprinklers, playing on slip & slides, and getting the backyard pools from the store. I really wish instead of telling people "you can't", they would tell you to "find an alternative way" to do something. When I posted pics of the kids having a great time on the Slip & Slide the other day, I am positive people thought "what is she doing?!", but it really is simple. Our little secret for slip & slides, backyard pools, or even running through the sprinkler is to connect the garden hose to the shower!
It really is a simple process to get hooked up, but I won't try to explain it, since when my husband asks me to bring
him a screwdriver, I still ask "Star or Flat?", and everything is a "thingy" to me. So I will just say you can go to most any home improvement store and find the adapter kit that you need. If you can't find one for the shower, grab one for the sink! Which ever you chose you will get the same result, happy kids playing in something that was forbidden to them by the Dr.'s, and the neighborhood kids running to your yard to play in the warm water.
